Gardening Day

I finally transferred some of my plants to a small space in front of our gate. That’s 2 feet by 10 feet (my estimate) of land. The problem with that land was, the soil is a bit dry, so I had to dig and dig and condition the soil before transferring the plants. I did not need a reel lawn mower since there is not much grass and weeds on the area, and yeah, the area’s too small for a mower.

I planted the plants nicely and put a fence so that astray dogs and cats will not litter on our plants.

Swimming Party At Your Home

It’s summer and the heat is on! And though everyone wants to go to the nearest resort or hit the beach there’s just too many activities that you can at home.

For one, you can give your aluminum briefcase a rest as well as your suit and put on a really nice cool clothes, go for shorts and sando! And if you have kids like me, buying inflatable pool is a nice idea too. Give your kids something fun to do by inviting their friends over and having a swimming party on your lawn.

Musical Evryday

For more than a week already, I have been hearing Bob Marley and musicals. That’s how I keep up with my busyness. I need those kind of music so that I can work harder and faster too. Sometimes without music, I feel like my brain is not working and really need a dose of reggae and musical in order to work. I am not fond of rock music so a music with DW drums on the background is not my style, not unless of course if it is rock musical like the case of Jesus Christ Superstar, which is also included on my playlist.

A Small Room for Music

It would be better if w can have a small space in the house that will be devoted to music. Like a place where there is a dock station for our music player and a place where an ultrasone headphones can be placed too. It will be a small space where we can listen to the music at peace. Well, the house we are renting has only two rooms, if ever we can find a place with 3 bedrooms, that would be possible. A music room seems very appealing.

I was in a home store last week when I saw decorative ash tray. I thought of how good it would look with Rocky Patel cigars. It’s a really nice ashtray with a really nice accent that reminds you of old days, very vintage in fact. I wish I could have taken a photo of it but the place is too posh and I got shy taking out my big camera.

Summer is heating up our home, isn’t? What could be the best way to make our home cooler though sun heats up our day?

There are plenty of ways to make our place look fresher and comfortable to stay with. One of the ways to make it possible is cleaning up our house everyday, changing up our curtains with light colors so that it makes our home very attractive and at the same time it lightens up the place and lastly, putting up plants that are good for indoors and outdoors. Aside from that, never put things that are dark in colors because it brings heavy aura and it doesn’t lighten up your place at all. And of course, cooling off your home using electric fan could help your place looking cooler this summer!

During summer, also try changing your pillows, cotton pillows such as zabuton are better as it facilitates air flow.

Always remember, to make our place look cooler not just during summer but of course anytime, or any season, always keep it clean; as cleanliness reflects on what kind person we are.

This coming week, some would be scouting for a peaceful beach, some would go abroad and try to catch a snow with their snowboard gear. Most would be going any place to spend their summer, specially The Holy Week. Leaving your home can give you some worry, so how can you keep your home safe while you are away?

So here are some tips that everyone should apply for their safeness and of course security for their homes:

As much as possible, hire a well known person or if not, a blood related person that you trust the most in taking good care of your home especially if you’re going out of town.
Put a CCTV camera or hidden camera that tracks those strangers who will try to ransack your home so that in case of this things happens you have the evidences to capture those bad persons.
Always double lock the doors of your house not just on its main doors but as well those private rooms you have at home too. And always double check it before leaving the house and consider locking the gate with padlock too.
Make sure that all your appliances are unplugged and the gasoline tank you have at home is off to avoid megrims.

But if you’re in a very tight budget that you can’t afford to buy a CCTV camera or hidden cameras, at least hire a person to watch over your house every now and then if you’re out of town.

These are just those basic safety measures we should apply whenever we go out our house especially during out of towns.
