His And Her Closet

Aug 10, 2010 under Bedroom, Furniture | No Comment Yet

For years that me and hubby has been together, our closet is always about his clothes, less mine and more him. I am not a clothes or shoes or bags girl. When it comes to myself, I don’t indulge on anything. I am always happy seeing them happy. Always contented on buying things for them. But lately, I have been giving myself a “me” time. Buying clothes for me, buying shoes and buying girly stuffs for me. It’s about time eh? Actually not. I am doing this for my youngest baby, my baby girl. My soon to be apprentice. I wanna be the most fasyon mom she can ever have and so I have been scouting shoes that are nice and with style, like the apple bottom sandals. So yes, our closet will be his and her closet from now on. Or maybe, I should buy another closet for me?

What do you think?

And though I never admit it, I am a fan of wood. I love wood furniture, I love tables, I love anything that is wood or something that looks like wood. That is why when I had my first born, my mind was fixed on having wooden crib for him. It was very tiring looking for cheap wooden crib a most department stores offers playpen and cribs made out of plastic and steel. These are portable cribs and though they are cheap too, I want a wooden crib.

In malls, you will find wooden cribs with an expensive price tag, usually it is hundred dollar or more (5000 Phil Peso). If you want a cheaper alternative, cribs that are priced around 2ooo Pesos or less, you should look around in your local stores or local furniture maker. You can also drop by your wet market, look for bigger markets like the one in Pasig. Divisoria is also a place to look for cheap wooden crib. And if your up for a ride, why not visit the furniture shop under the Jose Abad Santos lrt station. There are more than a dozen of furniture shops there and more than 5 sells cheap wooden crib.

Online shopping is just so practical nowadays. It spares you from the hassles of going to the malls, waiting in line to pay for the items that you like and it will also save your time in looking around for nice clothes for you and your family. A baby boutique came in handy when I was about to give birth to Sati last year. A friend of mine is making a living out of selling her pre-loved and also brand new stuffs in social networking sites. This kind of business is really advisable to those who are just starting out and with social networking site becoming more and more like a big advertising ground, it pays to be early.

For expecting mommies, there are some online baby boutiques that you can check out for baby stuffs. From different gears like strollers, car seats, to organic soaps, breast pumps and even diaper bags, just name it they got it. Isn’t that cool? You just need to wait at your house and all the items will be delivered right at your doorsteps. You can even start cleaning and fill your baby’s nursery room with nursery decors that is also available online. You can find wall stickers there, matching curtains and crib accessories and to complete that, check out some Oeuf nursery furniture that your baby may use till he grows a little bit older.

I have been an avid online shopper since I learned how to. I have been buying stuffs for my kids, specially clothes for little girl. How about you? Have you tried shopping online?

Exhaust System

It has been a while since I last posted here. I haven’t been into major cleaning in the house yet. Kinda busy with all my online activities and responsibilities. I promised I will go somewhere in Manila to take a pic of the furniture sold in Abad Santos, but haven’t done that yet.

Anyways, I realized our house needs exhaust tips like the one used in cars. In automobiles, exhaust tips are the one where the exhaust gas flows, together with muffler, they complete the exhaust system of any car. In houses, this can be compared to exhaust fan, not the mechanism of course but the fact that both takes out exhaust air.

One of the reason why we need an exhaust system in our house is because we cook a lot of food thus making our house more attractive to flies. If our kitchen has an exhaust system, the smell of the food would be exhausted out of the house. Another reason is to reduce the amount of bad smelling air inside the house. W cannot deny the fact that I have boys int he house and whenever they use the comfort room, it smells badly. An exhaust system inside the bathroom would be really helpful.

Home Insurance

When you think about constructing your own house, you will have to consider insuring it. The premium maybe pricey but the feeling of assurance whatever happens to your house is worth it. Like life insurance leads, you can also look for home insurance leads. It is up to you to decide what kind of insurance you will avail.

Home insurance as it is commonly called hazard insurance protects the homeowners from any losses that occurs inside the house. It can also be used as protection for the loss of the house itself or any untoward incidents (like fire) that can damage the house.

When our place was hit by typhoon and flooded, there are some owners who had their house insured for damage made by acts of God. And with that, their houses and the damage the flood brought were paid by their insurance company.

Wood Furniture

So while I was browsing for cheap modern furniture, I came across a site that offers rustic furniture. Reminds me of my mom so much as she is so in love with wood furniture. In fact, she knew a lot of people in the wood industry in the eastern part of Luzon.

Part of me was amazed at how this kind of furniture are made. We have one in the house and I can’t find a single nail on it. It does not use one! They assemble it in a way that the wood parts are locked to each other without the use of nails. How cool can that be? And oh if you think it easily fell off, not it’s not. You will need all the strength you need to break them apart and you will not succeed.

And still part of me is wishing to have one wood furniture in my garden when we have one (and hopefully that would be next year). My mom says that one of the best wood furniture to purchase is the one made out of Molave tree. This one can withstand weather, fire and heat. A very nice addition to a garden.

Rodliz’s Nest

I know most of you will thinks our hobby is eherm.. with four kids being proof eh? LOL.

nah, it’s not.

in fact we don’t have one..

My hobby is blogging and he coding/programming.. so you see we both love what we are doing and we are both earning from it. He’s a software engineer and you can always see him in front of the pc doing his codes.. while I am a blogger/ internet marketing specialist and you can always see me in front of pc.. s

I cannot say cooking is my hobby as that is my responsibility. Sewing can never qualify as my hobby as I only do it whenever I am inspired.. maybe photography is a bit.. but nah, it’s blogging still.

next to that is eherm.. hehe
